what is Invisalign®?

Invisalign®️ clear aligners are a state-of-the-art teeth straightening system. They are easy to remove to allow you to eat, drink and clean your teeth as normal. Invisalign®️ aligners can be used to gradually move your teeth into a straight position. Each custom-made aligner is worn for 1-2 weeks before moving on to the next set in the sequence. step 1:
consultation

Your initial consultation will establish whether Invisalign®️ is suitable for you. We will make sure your mouth is healthy, take radiographs, photographs and scans of your teeth and create a personalised treatment plan tailored specifically to you. Using our iTero scanner we can create a 3D simulation of your end result, so that you can see how your teeth will gradually move into place.

step 2:
TREATMENT

Next the Invisalign®️ technicians will uniquely craft your custom aligners. Each set of aligners will be worn for approximately 2 weeks for the duration of the treatment. Each aligner needs to be worn for 22 hours a day. Treatment will be monitored closely by us in surgery to make sure that everything is progressing smoothly.

step 3:
RESULTS

Once you have completed treatment you will be able to see your beautiful end result! It is very important after treatment has ended to wear your retainers daily as directed by your dentist or orthodontist to maintain your fabulous new smile! Some people choose to further tweak their new straight smile using tooth whitening and/or composite bonding.

Practice Partner Andy Cope originally qualified as a Dental Technician in 1991 before later retraining and graduating from Sheffield Dental School as a Dental Surgeon in 1998. Andy worked in General Practice in both Sheffield and Derby before taking over One 44 Dental Ltd with his wife Tracey in March 2015.

Andy loves all aspects of restorative and cosmetic dentistry; from crowns and bridges to composite (tooth-coloured) fillings, to making dentures and restoring dental implants.

He has also spent many years providing endodontics (root canal treatments) both in-house to his own patients and to those patients referred to him, specifically for this treatment, from other practices. He also provides facial aesthetic procedures such as dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments.

Andy very much likes to take the time to build up a rapport with his patients; to know and understand their dental requirements as an individual and work together with his patients as a team. He will discuss all treatment options available to you and work with you to devise the best course of treatment individually for you. At one 44 Dental, we use the best/latest materials and equipment to provide you with first-class dental care.

Outside of Dentistry Andy enjoys making lots of fun memories with his children and has recently started running.
