“Today marks the start of the Oral Health foundation’s “National Smile Month”, the U.K’s longest running health promotion. The three key messages of the campaign are:-

1. Brush your teeth last thing at night and at least once more throughout the day with a fluoride toothpaste.

2. Cut down how often you consume sugary foods/drinks.

3. Visit your dentist regularly, as often as they recommend.

At One44 we decided that as play centred learning is so incredibly important in a child’s development it would be a fun idea to turn part of our practice into a dental role play area  during National Smile Month for our younger visitors. We also have sugar free sweet samples and “2 minute timers” available on reception to encourage correct brushing time and to help make the switch to a more sugar free, tooth friendly diet. For more information check out www.dentalhealth.org
